Yoju has been the center of the pottery industry since the early Chosun Dynasty. Pottery and china wares are manufactured by a large number of factories near Ssarisan Mountain in Buknae-Myun where the condominium is located. Shilluksa Temple, Kodalsa Temple, Mok-A Buddhist Museum and Youngrung (King Sejong's Tomb) are the places to visit. Shilluksa Temple is grand in its scale and the surrounding nature is also splendid. In October, many folk festivals are held in Yoju.
