Vulcano is one of the seven Isole Eolie off the northern coast of Sicily. As its name implies, the island is dominated by a smoking vulcano which last erupted 100 years ago. By following a path up its slopes, visitors can reach the crater rim. The island's hot mud pools, steaming rocks and a natural, sea whirlpool allow visitors the benefit of a thermal spa but without any charges and less than 2kms from Residence Baia Fenicia. Other islands can be reached easily by hydrofoil.
