Desert Rose would certainly appeal to those who love the outdoors. Henties Bay is best know for its excellent surf fishing. The resort has access to a supertube which provide lots of fun for the kids at a minimal charge. There are numerous dunes around Henties Bay and dune sliding is something worth trying. The Omaruru River valley, which is adjacent to Desert Rose, serves a unique golf course. During the holiday season there are many entertainments and attractions provided, like yacht races etc.
