Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Berkshires at Oak 'n Spruce Resort, set amid 200+ acres at the foot of Beartown State Forest. The resort has a three-hole chip and putt golf course, two tennis courts, a trout stream, and two indoor and one outdoor pool as well as exercise equipment. The nearby town of Stockbridge is home to the Norman Rockwell Museum, Chesterwood Museum, and historic homes. Summer offers ballet, Tanglewood, and many theater festivals. In winter, enjoy cross- country skiing on site; for downhill skiing, visit Butternut Basin, Catamount Ski Area, or Brodie Mountain.

The location is perfect for the Berkshires. Oak & Spruce is tucked off the main road about 1/4 mile. There is no traffic; it really feels "out of the mainstream." It's an 8-minute drive to Stockbridge in one direction; the same for Lee in the other; 20 minutes to Lenox (great shopping and Tanglewood); 25 minutes to Jacob's Pillow in Beckett, 15 minutes to West Stockbridge. Williamstown is further north, about an hour and a quarter drive. The Berkshire Theater Festival is also nearby (5-minunte drive); and there are loads of national parks, museums, and cultural events. Great Barrington (15-minute drive) has great shopping, a small hospital, and a movie theater. On the way to Great Barrington, there is indoor bowling and many casual (and tasty) restaurants.

Oak & Spruce has a snack bar, vending machines, and pizza. There are many restaurants in the area, a large supermarket in nearby Lee, and a grand and beautifully designed shopping mall tucked into the side of a mountain--all just a 10-minute drive from the site.

Our timeshare is a ground floor, two-bedroom condo. The master bedroom has a large king-sized bed, jacuzzi, open sinks (2), and a small bathroom (toilet only). The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom with a tub and shower. The second bedroom has a table and 2 chairs, a small kitchen with kitchen settings, and a separate entrance. Cot and crib rentals are available for a nominal charge. There is also a private telephone.

Both bedrooms are accessible from the main entrance. Each one has a TV. The main living room has a TV and VCR/DVD, a fold-out couch. a kitchenette and counter, and a table with 4 chairs. There is a small outdoor terrace with a picnic table; the entrance is from the living room or master bedroom. The timeshare is located across the street from the main center. Behind the timeshare are tennis courts (rarely used). On site there is a gift shop, a bar (that serves drinks and pizza), two indoor heated pools with jacuzzis, and an outdoor pool. There are free recreational activities (mostly for children) throughout the day. In the main building, there is a recreation room with a ping pong table, an area for small children to play, and space for activities. Bike rentals are also available. Other free activities include nature walks, "Make Your Own Ice Cream Sunday," karaoke night, dance contests, and movies. You can also rent children's movies at the same location and borrow board games. In the basement of the building is a gym with weight-lifting and cardeovascular exercise equipment, also free.1 weeked banked
